high temperatures all week.This weekend it has been 28 degrees since Friday.
As I type this I am wearing a T shirt and shorts...........IN OCTOBER!!!:-)
I even went out and sat in the garden on Saturday night with my little Eton G3 to listen to Radio Barones on MW,
with a glass of chilled wine.Perfect...
The bands seemed a little bit quieter than normal.And some good signals heard.
There were several stations coming in 45434 or better,Skyline,Orion,Borderhunter,Geronimo,Regal & Telstar.
Just a comment on Radio Telstar South.There was a time when their presenters REALLY annoyed me.With their
"Constipated Shouting" style of presentation.But either I've got used to them or they have toned down a bit but,
although they still annoy me,I can't fault their music and general programming.They remind me of the London MW Pirates
of the 70's.Wonderful nostalgia.I really love this station now.
Very English,like WNKR were.And unlike Radio Free London(Who had some good members of the station,including some
WNKR people) But also had a few real tossers!
