Time to Test to the USA

For those stations wishing to be heard in the USA, the next 3 weeks will be an excellent time to try. The longest period of darkness from Europe will be the next two weeks. In addition, the A and K indices are extremely low (both were zero on 7 December, and only 1 today).
Evening transmissions will probably give the best results. Try between 2000 and 2200 UTC, on 48 meters. Or, for the mornings, try before 0800 UTC. Dave Valko and I will be trying very hard the next few weeks, so please e-mail us if you plan to do any tests to the USA.
