My future sortwave station

Post by darklife »

The transmitter is being built and all I need is to get the finals rigged up.
I have been doing a lot of SWLing for unused frequencies and plan to choose the obscure freq. of 6666kc exact (is this an okay freq?). VFOs are a Godsend eh? Really who needs crystals in the guts of a tx when if you really try and design it right a VFO will stay locked. Too bad I didn't have the money for a digital osc but that would just be too easy ;).
I have been on the FM broadcast band for a while now but just don't have the type of listeners I would like. Local listeners are fun but they get annoying when you goto the store and someone comes upto you and asks you to play some band you can't stand.
Sorry if this post comes off as too random but I am a very random person.
Do you think it's more wise to simulcast a pirate FM station along with SW or just do the two separate? I don't want to loose my FM listeners but fear that SW listeners won't like the FM format I am running.

Well if you tune your dial one of these nights sometime soon and hear a tx plop on the devils channel you know who it will be .
