Intersound/Overdrive Christmas/New years broadcasting on 28!

Post by Hans de Swan »

On the 28th of December (Thursday) from 10:00 UTC (11:00 local time) are Intersound and Overdrive on Air with a special Christmas/New Years broadcasting on the frequency 6.275MHz. 48mtr.-band SW. 8)
In the first hour is Bert M. (Overdrive) present with heavy music. Followed in the second hour by Hans de Swan (Intersound). His kind of music are golden oldies and some blues.
The antenne is a short halve-wave dipol with coils in the middle of each length. The power is 10 watts. We hope for good conditions and a free frequency!
Come on DX-ers, there is work to do this Thursday! Thanks allready! E-mail adress: intersoundradio@hotmail.com

Thank you very much John and Achim. The conditions are really strange today... About 5 km. from my hometown there is no signal en also in the rest of the Netherlands.... In some parts of Germany is the signal really good (Dr. Tim) and also in Sweden... Welcome in the strange, spooky world of SW...

AAAAARRRGGH! Strange enough, the whole day I hear your comment in my head and now it finally happens...
"The Art Of Long Distance On SW Is Still Low Power", but sometimes I want to transmit with stuff like yours on days like this, Tom.
Maybe I am a little bit jalous...

I agree Tom - But QRP is a useful stepping stone before we take the airwaves by Storm! :P
