LOGS : 16 - 22 JUN. 2014

Post by Ray Lalleu »

Hi,

About identifications, I use only the identifications that I hear with my own ears (maybe misunderstood at times -sorry- or not heard well enough, hence the sometimes added "?"), or if it's just a guessed ID, I add a "%" as a short for "tentative". Just for help, the IDs picked up from other logs are added at the end of the tip within square brackets [ ] with a 'cf' as reference mark.

That week, from Friday 20 to Sunday 22, I heard as many (and enjoyed) a station relaying a special programme from BBC Radio Norfolk, including a lot of excerpts and jingles from the offshore pirate era, and great hits of that time. But I never heard a single ID from the relaying station, and although the technical side may sound like that of Focus International, I find that's quite dubious. Particularly, I heard Focus on Friday afternoon at the same time as that relay of "BBC Pirate R. Norfolk".

I don't understand why so many logs didn't even list the name of the relayed programme (quite easy to catch) as a useful detail. Only UKdxer did that well, and added a "tentative" mark about the relaying station (on his Sunday log).

Apart from the usual lots of UNIDs, look for a new "Cat Radio", and a transmission of R. Titanic % (with a % after the name, just IDed after "Captain John" name)
