X-Ray? Canadian?

That's interesting........ I thought Maple Leaf was the only other pirate to me :?

Unless the mass food poisoning under the same "brand" axed that

Thank you! :D

I originally thought it was, but the extremely heavy EU accent (I thought it was in Dutch or German at first) made me wonder and ask here.

Cheers!

6285 KHz, 1048UTC

Reasonably strong signal, EU accented woman telling a story.

SWBC or Pirate? :?

4101 KHz @ 1145UTC

While listening for PiFER beacons, this very weak, but steady and very clear SSB english radio program was playing.

- Gave a marine WX report.
- Went into a 50's commercial jingle.
- Heavy metal music

Any idea? :?

Cheers!

Hi OSR,

What time UTC?

I've heard some good over-the-pole shots around there from low powered transmitters. I'll keep an ear open :D

Hi avranesjr,

Terribly sorry for that. I didn't reply because I didn't see it :(

I don't read every post here and probably wouldn't have seen this one if I didn't have in my mind today, "Hmmm, I wonder if he heard that odd...."

I shall be more dilligent from now on :D

Cheers!

Hi Terry,

I get that 6309~6310 one the odd time too. Especially the other day when we had some good over-the-pole DX (wee morning hours of May 31st).

What I heard sounded Dutch to me and no ID.

If it's a spur, it's a doozy!

Cheers!

I heard that one drift in and out too.... given the frequency, I thought it might have just been a mischevous fisherman.

Anybody out there know who that was?

Cheers!

Stuff like that makes one wish for US-like laws, where you can put a piece of lead in their leg

Good luck!
