Re: New station? Need for help with identification!
It is very difficult ... she says the station name very quickly. Maybe the operator will respond on this forum because I can't understand the station name either.

Re: London Calling.
Hi Andy
You can read all about the Japan weekend on Harri's blog: http://hkdx2.blogspot.com/
What would be good is to see some of the US pirates try to reach Europe on higher frequencies ... a bit of a DX challenge!

Re: Calling UK Pirate Radio Enthusiasts
There is now also a forum for AM/SW UK pirates on this site, in addition to ones for FM, Technical and 'Anything Goes.'
All the forums are now publicly viewable, although, of course, you have to sign up to post comments.
I've asked a question about MW pirates in the UK (or the lack of them!)

Re: SW Radio Martha? Mossa? Mother? Moca? ???
Yes Ray, Shortwave Radio Malta .... heard here in the UK and also logged by several North American DXers.
Terry in Newfoundland sent me a recording:

The big question is whether it is coming from Malta.

Re: the Board
I think older browsers see the type in grey .... which is not great when the background is dark blue. I had this problem with Internet Explorer 8 but was able to fix it through clicking Compatibility View in tools. Since then I have switched to Google Chrome which also has no problems reading it (an...

Hi Terry
Some great catches there. Glad to be of assistance! I don't know if you've come across this Facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/pages/AUSTRALIA ... 5504027480
It might help you hear an elusive Aussie pirate!

Powerliner was relaying Cool AM on 6285, he then moved to 6170 after being flattened by another station. I think more stations should use the 49 metre band, below 6200, as there are a lot more clear channels there these days with so many of the big European broadcasters having left shortwave. The ot...
