6307.5 kHz AM Saturday Night

Possible Europirate, playing Backstreet Boys "As Long as You Love Me" at 2322 UTC. S7 signal strength, with some fading.

After finishing my dinner, I returned to the radio, and I'm hearing some very nice blues music at 2359 UTC. Signal strength has now improved to S8 here in NY.

Radio Playback Int'l 6880 kHz AM

I presume it is PBI that I've been listening to since 2120 UTC on 6880 kHz AM mode. A rebroadcast of a blues show, SIO 232 in New York. The signal seems to be getting worse, unfortunately, as when I first tuned in, SIO was 333, and I thought this may have been a commercial station.

Sunday Morning Logs from Hungary

I was only able to DX at a quiet location for about an hour on Sunday morning, but it was a lot of fun, and I wish I could have been at the radio a lot longer. Still, I think I may have heard 5 new stations, but almost all of these are UNID's at the moment. Would greatly appreciate everyone's help i...

Thanks Iann

Thanks for the ID Iann. It is encouraging to be ablel to hear a station so far away, especially considering that is is raining here. I didn't hear enough details for a report this time, but with better conditions, and lower noise levels, it will be possible.

6553.5 Audible in New York

Was listening to a station playing some polka around 6554 at 2120 on a UK web receiver. Not only was I able to detect a carrier on 6553.5 on my own radio in New York, but I also hear the music, but it's very weak.

Any ideas who is on the air right now? (13 Nov, 2008)

Thanks,

George

Halloween Radio?

All I have is a carrier on 6961.1 kHz at 0000 UTC. The band is rather noisy tonight. So far, no audio.

5800 Playback International in New York

Played U2's "Where the Streets Have No Name" at 2338 UTC. Hearing it better in New York than a UK web radio.

6220 Audible in New York

6220 audible in NY at 1950 with rock music, but very weak.

6210 is even weaker, it may not be a pirate.

Radio Marabu ID at 2005; 6210 is off the air.

6400

Nice going Sealord. The electronic sounds are the jammer, it might even be the Achtung station. He seems to follow what we are tuning on one of the web receivers in the UK.

6400 at S5 here in NY at 2120 UTC, with "Smoke on the Water". Yes, very strong audio.

I also have a carrier from 6306.

Jamming on 6400!

Yes, I also hear two stations on 6400 at times. It sounds like the Achtung station, it is not always on. Some frequency sweeping, then they keep playing the same simple melody.

Early Saturday Evening Activity

I've got audio from 6400 here in NY at 2104 UTC. Just caught the end of "Stairway to Heaven', then a version of CSNY song, "Woodstock".

Also have presumed RWI's carrier on 6320 kHz.

Seems like good Europirate conditions again.

6239.9 kHz Radio Black Bones?

Although I enjoy classical music, I am not good at identifying song titles or composers. However, I think I am hearing a piece from Aida at 2255 UTC on 6239.9 kHz. SINPO 24232 in NY.

2300 Famous organ piece from Bach.
