A few Glasgow logs, 3-8 April

Post by undigest »

Good conditions here in the evening just recently -- sorry some of these are a bit late...

Sunday 3 April
-----------------

3905kHz, Polaris Radio with ID at 2219UTC and playing "Heard it on the Grapevine". 44333.

6325kHz, Radio Underground, 2013UTC playing Grand Funk Railroad. ID at 2015. 24222.

Friday 8 April
----------------

3885kHz, UNID (probably Radio Continental per other logs) giving SMS at 2207UTC. "California Dreaming" at 2238UTC. 23322 with SSB QRM (strong peaks but I could never make out the ID)

3920kHz, Radio Zodiac with ID in English and Dutch and SMS at 2204UTC. 34222.

6210kHz, Radio Powerline at 2217UTC playing "Jeepster", "Magical Mystery Tour" and "A Town Called Malice". ID at 2225, and greeting Zodiac. 45444.

6220kHz, Laser Hot Hits complaining about their PC running slow + jingle ID at 2052UTC. 32322 with strong UTE QRM.

6238kHz, UNID (maybe Altrex?) playing "Enola Gay" at 2327UTC, cows mooing at 2332 + "To Cut a Long Story Short". 34322.

6304kHz, Marconi Radio giving ID and email at 2214UTC and saying he'd been having problems with the audio (which sounded fine, strong echo effect and very slight mains hum). 55544, one of the strongest pirate signals I've ever heard.

6325kHz, Radio Mustang playing "La Isla Bonita" followed by ID "From the East Border of the Netherlands" at 2042UTC. 44444.

Sony ICF-7600GR + telescopic.

Best to all,
Peter
