Westcoast Finland log; 30.7 - 2.8

Post by Jan II »

Thursday 30.7

6220 1854 Mystery Radio with nonstop music. 35433
6325 1822 Radio Mustang heard a few minutes. Probably sign off 1824. 32333
6425,6 1838 Studio 52 with a supersignal and rock. Guns'n'roses at this hour. 45444
6660 1914 The russian piratefrequency was crowded this evening. A lot of stations calling QSO but only a few were listening to the others. A real mess... Listened to them until 1940 and some stations were "Che Guevara", "Katamaran", "Pionier" and "Sputnik". Short voicereports and ham-language used. USB. On LSB french-talking men most of the time. On sunday evening tekno-music covered the frequency. Only "Sputnik" heard properly through the music and he didn´t sound very glad about the music...

Friday 31 July

I heard R. Alice closing down at 2206, but after a cartoon theme, not "Il silencio" as Spider.

What happened ?

Ahh, you are absolutely right Ray! "Il silencio" (sounded like the same trumpet-version that Spider signs off with) ended at 2205 and after that there was also the "cartoon-theme" played. Was it perhaps Bugs Bunny... If you heard some other song before the cartoon-music, there must have been some other station involved???

Good to know it was Radio Alice, he has been active the past weeks.
You are very observant Ray :D
