I like paying Inde stuff on the air. Give the bands an audience that the commercial stations wouldn't give the time of day to :D

Music List

Post by Robin Banneville »

Here is a very brief list of groups or artists that I've either brought CD's by, or listened to and enjoyed, over the last few months. Pink Floyd are by far the best group of all time... in my opinion, (Floyds best song being "Confortably Numb"). All the other artists in this list are in no particular order. I've not really got a favorite 'type' of music, I just enjoy what takes my mood at the time.

Pink Floyd
Clannad
Tori Amos
Kate Bush
Mylene Farmer
Barclay James Harvest
Rolling Stones
Beatles
Dire Straits
Bob Dylan
Country Joe and The Fish
Ultravox
Mary Black
Francis Black
Dolores Keane
Simon and Garfunkel
Jean-Michel Jarre
Vangelis
Enigma
Kitaro
No Doubt
Velvet Underground
Carter USM
Ozzy Osbourne
Rush
Small Faces
The Kinks
Sandie Shaw
Mamas and Papas

This list is just off the top of my head... I've got loads of other stuff, some MOR and some more obscure, but it would take all day to type it out.

hi glowbug + robin b., hi to the others :ahowy: ,
at first thanks Mkae:friend for lists you put in. I'm wondering how many
people read this topic. so to all readers :pirate-book: , come on and post
your favourite music. you see, a lot are curious on it. thanx.
@GLOWBUG
I know only a few, but I try listening to the one
or other in special record store, when I'm in.
by the way you heard already the new cd of ALAN PARSONS ?
can you tell something about it ? :-k
@ROBIN B.
I know the most of your music and have cds from the half of
them. PINK FLOYD for me also one of the greatest. timeless
music. I will prefer a reggea version from DARK SIDE OF THE
MOON to you. published in 2003 by a band called EASY STAR
ALL-STARS from the usa.
keep on rockin'....

Hi Cappi, :ahowy:

I too have a copy of Easy Star All-Stars' version of Dark Side of the Moon (or "Dub" Side of the Moon, as they call it). I listen to it from time to time and find it a good change from always listening to the original. :)

I've also got a version of Dark Side by "Out of Phase". Have you ever heard of that? It's not as laid back as All-Stars version, but again, a good curiosity.

73's Cappi 8) and let's rock.
RAO ....... Robin

dark side of the moon

Post by capricorn »

hi robin :ahowy: ,
never heard of OUT OF PHASE - but I try to listen to them
(and surely buy it, when it's a "good one"). thanx.
I have another cover album of DARK SIDE... and it's called
THE MOON REVISITED. each track is played by another
band (prog groups like CAIRO, SHADOW GALLERY, MAGELLAN,
ENCHANT). most of them covered nearly 1:1. good stuff =D> but
it's not a must. published 1995 magna carta/roadrunner records.
keep on rockin' ](*,)

Heavy Metal! I also like good old-style rock. I think listening to music should be an emotional excperience. You put on your current fav album and just enjoy. A couple of times I have "rediscovered" my really old albums and just sat entire evenings playing old goodies =)
