LOGS : 20 - 26 FEB. 2017

Post by Ray Lalleu »

Hi,

More activity on that carnaval season !

The puzzling ones :
- a fake EMR, also using other fake IDs
- R. Marabu on 6150 everyday, just beginning on Thursday, but last relay on 6305a from Friday to Sunday
- new R. March Music with military brass bands only
- the fqy hoppers: R.319, Misti R.
- R. Thunderbird (on Sunday) was at least on 2 frequencies (maybe up to 4 !)
- a Dutch R. Mi Amigo, not the Spanish one via Kall
- a R.Europe from Ukraine (sorry, Ukrainian/Russian are not so different for my ears)

Still lots of UNIDs, even after long cross checkings with logs found on Internet. (Thanks to Marco for 2 months of very long logs since Xmas, farewell! (Late) welcome to LHU, the new champion of everyday long logs)

Tips in time order, except when linked with a "|" in the spacing line.

Letter after kHz : a=approx. (or bit of wandering), u=USB, L=LSB, v=bit of drift, V=real drift

mx=music, tk=talk, D=Dutch, E=English, G=German, F=French, it.=Italian, sp.=Spanish, rpt=report, v.=very,
e.=extremely w.=with, '=..ing, c'/d=closing down, M/W=man/woman, g'=greeting, ut=utility
ID+@=ID+e-mail address, J=jingle, PLC=PowerLineComm'(noise), \=but, %=guess, hl=hotline, accn=accordion
> =becoming/then, bb=boom-boom mx, bpm=beat per min, [ between sq. brackets : best fit ID, thanks quick logs ]
Please note that c'/d is a period from a few seconds to well more than an hour before the real switch off !
"Strength" notes (from e.weak to V.strong) are rather S/N notes by ear, not S-meter levels. Most of the noise is local, but seldom identified as such.
