"Radio 7800" - This weekend

Post by Foton »

According to station's op, Radio "7800" is going to broadcast this Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 10 UTC (10-11CET) on 7800kHz.
Email to station: radio7800@wp.pl

Output power is 5W, but aerial seems to work properly so should be audible hundreds kilometers from their QTH, located somewhere in Northern Poland. Unfortunately annoing UTE sometimes makes problems on mentioned frequency.

Radio "7800" is not real name of this stations. This is my personal name of it because real name is not published yet or at least is not known for me.

Information via Polish radio-forum "RadioPolska" (http://forum.radiopolska.pl/index.php?s ... 6005&st=40).

Aha, very interesting Foton!

7800 will be under special observation this weekend. 5 watts should be enough to reach me if the antenna is OK. Let's see...

I spent half an hour (9:45-1015UTC) at local park with Degen+wire but heard nothing on 7800.

I heard only 6216 (KingSW, O=1), 6316 (Delta Lima?, O=4-), 6373 (FluxAM? O=4-), 7610 (Amica, O=4+).

Hello Foton and Radio 7800!

Reception was OK up here if the watts were only 5. Lost the sound at 9.58 UTC, but there was still a carrier on 7800 when I left the radio 1045. Maybe the late carrier was something else...

Nice music! :D

Radio 7800 op just updated information at "RadioPolska" forum that, after some changes of equipment, transmitter will be ON, whole day. Peaceful, instumental song will be aried.

Congratulations Jan. I think, station's operator traces this topic, so it should be succes also for him.
I have no experience with local (<500km) reception. Maybe I was too close (I estimate distance as 400-500km) or just had no luck.
