Sunday 30th 3945Khz - 2115-2120 - WMR - 35333

Hi Andy. Did you get an ID for WMR at this time?

I'm fairly certain that they weren't on 76 mtrs today and the 6400 tx was on lower power which would explain why the signal was not a good as recently.

I heard this jammer at about 3 pm British time while I was close to the center of Ireland. Full signal on the portable with the telescopic antenna.
Judging the quality of the sig and audio, i'm guessing this was a legal TX.

Hi Dave I think there's a couple of typos in the frequencies. Should 6294.96 read 6264.96 and 6380.07 be 6280.07 ??? Anyway ,the mention of "westcoast of Ireland" is almost certainly Premier Radio Int. There was another carrier on 6265 yesterday with no modulation, sio 343 which i believe ...

Sorry to hear that. Why not move down to 76 mts instead of closing down. We need more UK and Irish station there to help keep the Dutch in line.

Just to illustrate my point, i got this email last night "3910 good over here no rx on 6400" This was from a friend about 320 Km from the transmitters and just now i received another email from him saying he could not get 6400 at all today but 3945 is ok. WMR have a lot of listeners who li...

Foton, there are a few locations in the UK where, esp in the afternoon and evenings when there is no sign of 6400 at all but 76 mtrs is receivable. This is important because the site is in a remote location and the output needs to be monitored. This is the reason why the power is kept down at a leve...

This is getting tedious!!! So what if WMR operate on 2 different bands. They cover different areas. Its not like WMR have 2 rigs on the same band. WMR are NOT on 3910 24 hrs a day. It starts at about 17:00 moves at about 14:00 hrs the following day. Its NOT on Friday night or Saturday until 17:00. W...

Ramona, I'm not sure what it is you agree with :?: Some stations use a frequency for longer hours than others. Laser are, or were, on 24/7 and will be again. WMR use 3910 on Saturday night and Sunday morning. GET USED TO IT. Its always been the case that some stations are able to transmit for longer...

Maybe we should all chip in and buy our Dutch friends a radio. :) To repeat something that I posted last week, WMR are on 3910EVERY Saturday from about 17:00 on 3910 until Sunday afternoon when it shifts to 3945. A signal 5kHz or less either side WILL cause problems to WMR as well as to to the offen...

Thanks for the log, Axel. The reason that WMR were not on 48mts Saturday night was due to a breakdown at the TX site. Jack was unable to get to it until Sunday morning to repair the elastic band that holds the transmitter together.

Hi, I just want to clarify a few points before this gets out of hand. 1) The operator of RAI switched off as soon as he was aware of the problem so no damage done. A geniune mistake. 2) Do WMR really need to announce every week that they will be on 3910? After all, they have been on this frequency f...
