Free radio pirates on medium and short wave messageboard of alfa lima

I heard tell it was caused by the volcanic dust now circling the planet at high altitude. It it statically charged.

Early morning TX ended early (7:45 - 8:30 UTC) due to modulator failure, going back on air now.

Give us 20 minutes!

I don't give times as I don't quite know how long it will take to get to the site!

The inconspicuos bright-yellow (no, really!) TX is now off and all the gear sitting in the bag. If the weather permits we will be on again tomorrow too, no doubt taking a hammering from Deutsche Welle (Dutscheland funk anyone? :? ). Oh, and we'll pack suficent batteries so that we don't have a sudde...

Weather permitting, I'll string up the dipole in hour or two and put the plate-modulated valve transmitter on air for a few hours. TX Off at 12:30 ish this morning. Doesn't seem too distressed by 24hours+ of running. Loop antenna changed, will be on again this evening through to tomorrow.
