Glasgow SW log, Sunday 28th January

Odd conditions again, some very strong signals but fading in and out at random. Just before I tuned out at 1345, I copied a blurred weather fax map which I think was from Halifax, Canada on 6330kHz: unusual for this frequency and time of day (for me anyway). Maybe some signals made it across the pon...

Heard you in Glasgow 0848 playing "Another One Bites the Dust" -- very weak, maybe SINPO 24322, but not bad for 7 watts! I'll try to get a recording, but not sure if it'll take.

Best,

Peter

Quite weak in Glasgow, maybe 24322, playing "Caroline" at 1318 then testing the mike "1.2.1.2" and giving multiple IDs. "Space Oddity" at 1321.

Good luck,

I caught West Coast on 3925 just as it closed down: canned ID, then slowed-down recording, then birdsong and off air 0046UTC. SINPO 34433, best signal I've ever had from you on 48 or 76 -- congratulations!

Glasgow MW log, 24th January

Amazingly strong QSO round tonight on 180m: I've never ID'ed so many stations in one night: 1620kHz, UNID (maybe De Stroper, as it was mentioned by Orion later), 2248UTC playing old Dutch music. 32322 with bad TVI. 1645kHz, Zender James Bond, 2235 rep to Jeneverstoker (?) and Orion. 2237 off, back a...

Glasgow, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st

Not much IDed through the static and fading: I think conditions might have been better Sunday afternoon, but I only had a few minutes to check. Saturday 20th 6305kHz, Orion Radio, 0917UTC playing "Orinoco Flow" by Enya. 43333, S9+20 on peaks. 6400kHz, Radio RP, heard briefly giving ID and ...

Very clear in Glasgow at 0812, hoping problems are solved and playing "Like a Rolling Stone". Signal wasn't there 5 minutes ago, but now 45433, S9+10.

Good luck with the new frequency!

Barones on 1645kHz

R. Barones pushing S9+20, SINPO 44444, on 1645kHz right now in Glasgow. Greeting DJ Dipol at 1940, playing a Dutch version of "Yes, We Have No Bananas" and greeting Jari in Finland at 2004. He's using a canned ID of somebody with a London accent (I think) saying "Barones 1645" ! ...

Sorry I'm late in posting -- I could hear music faintly here on 3925 at around 2300 last night, but never strong enough to hear an ID. Some SSB QRM too, SINPO maybe 23221...

Best of luck,

Peter
