Re: Unknown stations, 23-24 June

Hi Ray, Also to test different antennae. Some transmissions were made using a vertical monopole radiator with 30 buried earth radials, similar to a MW aerial. I think it was an inverted V dipole that you heard on Monday.

Re: London Calling.

Evening conditions have been long skip I think. On Saturday night, "local" stations within 100 Km or so of here were non-existent but the Dutch and even low power UK stations such as Merlin were booming in here although others were not receiving them as good as I was.

5800 is only low power. It only really serves to fill the area nearer to the transmitter site when 7600 is skipping further.

Noise was unbelievable here too! All over the bands. It sounded man made. I unplugged everything in the house to no avail. Nearest house is 500 meters away (nobody wants to live any closer to me  ) so I don't think it's the neighbours. Even the stronger signals, 6210 and 6300 weren't able to ...

Anything I've heard so far seems to be old.

Hi John

I think maybe Portugal is a little too far away from me to receive your low power transmission on 76 mtrs.
Noise levels can be very high there.

Get a nice BIG transmitter

Hi Joe I can't send a file at the moment. If you want to pm an email address, i could do it later. I checked an online tuner and it sounds exactly the same as what I'm hearing here. Another possibility is the tx has a parasitic oscillation problem. For several seconds it can sound alright and then i...

Hi Joe

there is something VERY wrong with the audio I'm hearing here.
:?

Theres a noise on the carrier that sounds somewhat like a PLL thats gone wrong.... The result is a mix of the noise plus the music.

I can send an audio file if you want. Its not pretty.

Theres a 9+40 signal on 3934 but modulation is dreadful. Can't tell if its 2 signal mixing or what.
